Final Week to Early Vote in 2015 Las Cruces Municipal Election

  This is the final week to early vote in the Nov. 3, Las Cruces Municipal Election. Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and Saturday from

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Las Cruces City Clerk’s Office, first floor of City Hall, 700 N. Main St.

Absentee ballots are available by calling the City Clerk’s office at 575/541-2115 to request an application. The application will be mailed out no later than Friday, Oct. 30. Once the application is verified, a ballot will be sent to the requestor by mail. The final day to vote absentee, in person, is Oct. 31 at the City Clerk’s office. Absentee ballots mailed in must be received in the City Clerk’s office prior to 7 p.m. Nov. 3.

Voters will elect a mayor, city councillors to represent districts 1, 2 and 4, and presiding municipal court judge.

Videotaped interviews with each of the 12 candidates actively seeking election, and the candidate forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Las Cruces, are available for viewing anytime atCLCTV.COM.

On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at any one of 14 Voting Convenience Centers located throughout Las Cruces. Voters are no longer restricted to voting in the district in which they are registered. Voting Convenience Centers at the following locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

1. Branigan Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave.

2. Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd.

3. East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Dr.

4. Frank O'Brien Papen Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.

5. Good Samaritan Village, 3011 Buena Vida Cir.

6. Henry Benavidez Center, 1045 McClure St.

7. Meerscheidt Recreation Center,1600 E. Hadley Ave.

8. Doña Ana Community College, East Mesa Branch, 2800 Sonoma Ranch

Blvd.

9. Munson Center, 975 S. Mesquite St.

10. Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico, 4441 E. Lohman Ave.

11. Newman Center, 2615 S. Solano Dr.

12. Highland Elementary, 4201 Emerald St.

13. Jornada Elementary, 3400 Elks

14. Desert Hills Elementary, 280 Roadrunner Pkwy
