Forbes Recognizes NMSU on America's Top Colleges List

Forbes has once again recognized New Mexico State University as one of America's Top Colleges.

NMSU has risen on the annual list of 650 schools from a rank of 422 in 2012, to 376 this year.

Forbes partnered with Washington, D.C.-based Center for College Affordability and Productivity for the sixth year on the ranking project, with a return on investment-focused ranking structure. Forbes and CCAP used the following weighted categories to calculate the rankings: student satisfaction (22.5 percent), post-graduate success (37.5 percent), student debt (17.5 percent), graduation rate (11.25 percent) and nationally competitive awards (11.25 percent). This ranking is the latest of several successes for NMSU this summer. The university has been recognized as a "Best Buy" for online engineering master's program by GetEducated.com, a Top 100 Degree Producer of both Hispanic and American Indian bachelor's and master's degrees by Diverse Issues in Higher Education, and acknowledged as offering one of the Most Affordable Online College Degree Programs by Affordable Colleges Online.
