Former Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and ex-United Nations Ambassador John Bolton are among the speakers scheduled for a public policy conference this week in southern New Mexico.
New Mexico State University's Domenici Institute hosts the two-day conference in Las Cruces. The institute is named after former New Mexico Sen. Pete Domenici.
Salazar is to speak Wednesday about North American energy security and Bolton is to talk Thursday about U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
Bolton served in former President George W. Bush's administration.
Salazar stepped down earlier this year as President Barack Obama's Interior secretary.
Gov. Susana Martinez is to focus on state issues during an appearance at the conference.
Former Tennessee Sen. Bill Frist, a physician, is to talk about health care reform.
