Four More Charged In Sunland Park Voter Fraud

More criminal charges have been filed in connection to a voter fraud case in Sunland Park.  Third Judicial District Attorney Amy Orlando says voter fraud charges from a Sunland Park election were filed against Texas residents Jose Ramirez, Elizabeth Ramirez, Matthew Valenzuela and Santa Teresa, N.M. resident Nelson Owens

Authorities say former city counselor Angelica Marquez, who is currently facing charges related to extortion, bribery and voter fraud, registered each to vote in a city election using her address and a neighbor's address.

The new charges were just the latest in a series of scandals that have rocked this border city that also saw a mayoral candidate indicted for extortion.

It was unclear if any of those charged had attorneys.
