Four U.S. Citizens Killed In Juarez

By KRWG News

Juarez, Mexico – Four U.S. citizens have been shot to death in separate attacks in the border city of Ciudad Juarez.

Chihuahua prosecutors' spokesman Arturo Sandoval says 35-year-old Edgar Lopez of El Paso, Texas, died Sunday with two Mexican men when gunmen opened fire on a group outside a house.

On Saturday, 26-year-old Giovanna Herrera and 15-year-old Luis Araiza were shot dead shortly after crossing an international bridge from El Paso.

Sandoval says authorities also identified a 24-year-old woman killed Friday inside a tortilla shop as Lorena Izaguirre (ee-zah-GEER'-eh) of El Paso. A Mexican man was also found dead in the store.

More than 2,000 people have been killed this year in the city across the border from El Paso as a turf war rages between two drug cartels
