Free Las Cruces Bus Service Friday In Conjunction With "Downtown Aggies" Event

The City of Las Cruces and New Mexico State University (NMSU) are collaboratively presenting Downtown Aggies, a free pep rally on the plaza that includes family activities, an introduction to the NMSU Athletic teams, and photos and autographs from the players.  The event takes place Friday from 5pm to 10pm on the Dowtown plaza.

City Council presented a proclamation to NMSU announcing this week Aggie Spirit Week in Las Cruces. As part of Aggie Spirit Week, RoadRUNNER Transit and Dial-a-Ride will be offering a Free Fare Day on Friday, October 20.  All passengers will be able to ride any of the fixed routes or Dial-a-Ride at no charge.

In support of the Downtown Aggies Event, and to make transportation from the university to downtown more convenient, RoadRUNNER Transit will have a special Aggies Downtown Route from Downtown Main Street to University. The bus will run every 20 minutes from 5 – 11 p.m. The last bus will depart the stop at Las Cruces and Main St. at 10:40 pm heading back to NMSU.

RoadRUNNER Transit provides a fixed route system serving locations throughout Las Cruces. Dial-a-Ride is service for individuals with qualifying disabilities and for senior citizens over age 60 that provides origin to destination trips that must be scheduled in advance.

Schedules and fare information are available on the City’s website. Please call customer service at 541-2500 for additional fixed route information. Dial-a-Ride information is available by calling 541-2777.
