Freedom Short-Lived For Homicide Suspect

Las Cruces – On Sunday, Dona Ana County Sheriff's Investigators arrested and charged REYNALDO D. HOLGUIN JR., age 38, of the 500 block of Juan Diego, who is a suspect awaiting trial in the death of three month old child late last year.

According to Sheriff's Investigators, HOLGUIN bonded out of jail last night after his mother posted bond and immediately went to the work place of his fianc , allegedly a violation of his conditions of release.

HOLGUIN allegedly took from the VICTIM a necklace and bracelet the VICTIM was wearing at the time and later on the VICTIM'S wallet.

HOLGUIN, who was located at his mother's residence at approximately 7:00 a.m. by Deputy Scott Bayles, was detained and transported to the Sheriff's Department for questioning.

SOURCE charged HOLGUIN with one count of Aggravated Stalking, a fourth degree felony, one count of Battery Against a Household Member and three counts of Larceny under $250.00, a petty misdemeanor.

Magistrate Judge Olivia Nevarez-Garcia authorized No Bond' on HOLGUIN.

On August 4, 2009, HOLGUIN was arrested and charged by Sheriff's Investigators for the death of Isaiah Jimenez, age 3 months.
