Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police will participate in a community seminar on identifying and preventing gang activity in our community.
The seminar is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Las Cruces City Hall, 200 N. Church St.
The seminar is for parents, school administrators and staff, faith-based organizations and community professionals who are interested in learning how to identify and prevent gang activity.
Scheduled speakers include Tamera Marcantel from the New Mexico Gang Task Force, Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies Mike Baca and Nate Lerner, and Esteban Sepulveda from the Artesia Police Department.
The seminar is sponsored by the New Mexico Gang Task Force.
