Blasting operations of hazardous rock outcrops at the Catwalk National Recreation Trail (NRT) will very likely not be completed by tomorrow, Thursday, July 18th, as expected. The Catwalk will now be CLOSED Thursday and Friday, July 18 & 19th.
Blasting operations are extremely hazardous! The public is requested to stay clear of the area.
Once blasting operations are completed and it is safe to re-open the Catwalk, visitors are urged to contact the Glenwood Ranger District, 575.539.2481; or the Supervisor’s Office in Silver City, 575.388.8201, during weekday hours, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, for updated information.
