This week, young women in Dona Ana County are signing up for a yearly program that could have a big impact on their future.
The Girls Can! Career Exploration Conference is an annual event sponsored by AAUW….the American Association of University Women of Las Cruces.
It’s designed to encourage 6th grade students from all over Dona Ana County to meet and take workshops with career women from the community.
This year's event takes place Saturday morning, March 2, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Lynn Middle School in Las Cruces. The event costs $5 and includes a t-shirt, breakfast and 3 workshops. Workshops for parents are also part of the program.
Girls can pre-register with their teachers and school counselors by this Friday.
