SANTA FE, N.M. – The group announced Thursday that Martinez was selected for its executive committee by governors and governors-elect meeting in San Diego.
Martinez will take office on Jan. 1. She's the nation's first Hispanic female to be elected governor.
The GOP governors association was the largest donor to Martinez's campaign, contributing $1.3 million through late last month.
