New Mexico – The New Mexico Department of Transportation has been awarded nearly $105,000 to support the enforcement of seat belt laws.
The grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used to help New Mexico adopt and implement programs to reduce highway deaths and injuries through the enforcement of safety belt laws.
The grant was announced by Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman.
