Groundbreaking For New Teen Facility At White Sands

Chief of Child Youth and School Services, Shawn Ticho, Army Teen Panel
member, Sierra Alfonso, Deputy to the Garrison Commander, Kimberly Combs and
White Sands Missile Range Commander, Brig. Gen. Gwen Bingham participated in
the groundbreaking ceremony held Dec. 6, at White Sands Missile Range.

The new 19,873 square foot facility will replace the old Middle School Teen facility located at the White Sands School cafeteria.

The facility will include a computer lab, a teen lounge and patio, and a music room with a recording
studio. The facility is scheduled to open in November of next year.
