Group Running Ads Against Martinez
By KRWG News
New Mexico – A liberal political action committee headed by a private investigator is running radio ads critical of Gov. Susana Martinez's administration.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://bit.ly/omgkUp) that Michael Corwin of the Independent Source PAC said the ads are running on two Albuquerque stations and will soon run on two Santa Fe stations.
The 30-second spots attack Martinez over hiring, alleged conflict of interest on the State Personnel Board, and recent decisions to decertify three troubled charter schools earlier this year.
Corwin declined to say how much Independent Source PAC was paying to produce and air the spots. The PAC's financial report is not due for about six months.
Martinez spokesman Scott Darnell said the ads appear to be backed by a shadow group intent on opposing education reform.
