KRWG News –
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (krwg) Researchers from the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University who are investigating women's cancers are getting more funds.
A Las Cruces-based nonprofit, Cowboys for Cancer Research, and a group called NMSU Aggies Are Tough Enough to Wear Pink are awarding $60,000 to research partnerships between the two universities.
Some $40,000 will help joint research that targets proteins responsible for cancer movement and spread.
The remainder, $20,000, will go to a longstanding research collaboration aimed at estrogen-building receptors in women's cancers.
