Commentary: Fear mongering and attacks on the presumptive Democratic candidate for President, Hilary Clinton were the main themes of the recent Republican convention. They not only despise her, but want to send her to jail and compared her with Lucifer.
What Bernie Sanders supporters have to realize is that if their candidate was the presumptive nominee—the attacks would have been just as obnoxious. They would have called him an anti-capitalist communist to the left of Stalin, accusing him of sending dissidents to forced labor camps if he became President--just like what happened in the former Soviet Union.
Why are they so afraid of their competition? I would argue that they know Trump is a bully and narcissist and that their policies of building a wall, demeaning ethnic groups and religious beliefs, trickle-down economics and deregulating financial and environmental laws will not sell. So all they have is hate and fear.
To bring back our middle class we must provide affordable technical and academic education opportunities, increase the national minimum wage to a living wage, reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act to prevent another financial crises, and have a fair tax system where the CEO of the Corporation pays at least the same tax rate as his Secretary.
