BeWellNM, the official state marketplace for New Mexicans to shop, buy, and compare health plans, will be hosting two, public informational events in Las Cruces. These free events will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the changes in federal law affecting health insurance and health care, the various plans offered on the exchange, and subsidies or tax credits for which they may be eligible. There will also be assistance provided to help with individual enrollment. The deadline to enroll in an exchange-based health plan for 2015 is February 15.
The first educational event will be held on Monday, February 9 at the Lions Club Community Center on 1501 N. Solano Dr. at 6 p.m. The second event is on Tuesday, February 10 at 6 p.m. and will take place at the Community Resource Center on 5745 Ledesma Dr.
