Albuquerque – Albuquerque police are hoping computers will lead them to the person who killed 11 women and buried their bodies in a desert area west of Albuquerque.
The women were found buried on the mesa in 2009 just off 118th Street.
KOB-TV (http://bit.ly/oL6EC1 ) reports police continue to receive federal grant money to update their technology systems.
Detectives are using computers to cross reference information they get from tips.
For instance, if police got a specific name of a possible suspect they would put that into the computer to see if anyone else mentioned that name.
Police Chief Ray Schultz says that increases the likelihood it may be good information. Years after the killings, the department says it continues to receive information.
