Texas – Attorney General Eric Holder will attend and speak at the funeral of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent fatally shot in Mexico.
He'll deliver remarks at the Tuesday funeral of ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata in Brownsville, who was killed in an attack at a roadblock in the Mexican state of San Luis Obispo last Tuesday. Also wounded was ICE Special Agent Victor Avila, who was treated for his wounds at a Houston hospital and discharged last week.
Holder will also attend and speak at the funeral of a deputy federal marshal killed Wednesday while serving a warrant in Elkins, W.Va. The funeral of Deputy U.S. Marshal Derek Hotsinpiller will be Monday at a Bridgeport, W.Va., church.
