Holloman Breaks Ground For New Child Development Center

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – The 49th Wing breaks ground for the construction of a new Child Development Center in a ceremony at Holloman AFB at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The new $11 million facility will contain 15 classrooms and will provide daycare services for up to 200 children of Holloman servicemembers.  The project is expected to be completed by May 2014.

Colonel Kevin Bennett, 49th Mission Support Group commander, and other key leaders who have contributed to the project will remove the first shovels of soil from the site of the new CDC on Patterson Drive.  With this significant increase in facility space, the Holloman CDC waiting list should be drastically reduced.
