Holloman Gets New Aircraft Work

By KRWG News

Alamogordo – Southern New Mexico's Holloman Air Force Base is receiving T-38 Talon aircraft once used by the Republic of South Korea for pilot training.

The first two were delivered last month with the help of NASA, which sent them by an Aero Spacelines Super Guppy, a wide-bodied cargo aircraft often used to transport spacecraft components.

The planes were the first of 15 T-38s which will be regenerated at Holloman, then sent to operations in Virginia and Florida.

Mission First Support Services at Holloman was asked to bring the aircraft back to operational status. It's the only location in Air Combat Command to provide such maintenance for the planes.

The schedule calls for Holloman to receive T-38 aircraft two at a time until the last one is delivered next month.
