HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Officials with the 49th Wing are encouraging military personnel and regular visitors to plan ahead when visiting the base due an upcoming closure of Holloman’s Main Gate.
Personnel with the Civil Engineering Squadron will be conducting tests on the vehicle barriers Friday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. During this time, both inbound and outbound lanes will be closed to all traffic.
Any visitors to the base will need to use the West Gate for access and exit during this time period. Individuals who possess a military, contractor or dependent I.D. are also reminded the La Luz Gate is another option for entry to the base.
Team Holloman members are encouraged to allow plenty of extra time, use caution and be attentive to posted detour signs when attempting to reach their destinations.
