HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Officials with the 49th Wing are advising military personnel and visitors to avoid the Main Gate on Saturday, March 16.
The Main Gate will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for contractors to perform electrical work.
Individuals who possess a military, contractor or dependent I.D. card are encouraged to use the West Gate for entry to the base. The Visitor’s Center will remain open during this time for visitors to obtain passes.
Drivers should also be aware of potential backups on Highway 70, as well as vehicles crossing into the eastbound lanes of Highway 70.
Team Holloman members are also reminded to be aware of the numerous road construction projects currently being completed on base and allow plenty of extra time, use caution and be attentive to posted detour signs when attempting to reach their destinations.
