I-10 Closures This Week

 

  I-10 & Mesa

Five Days

Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

The North Mesa Exit Ramp (Exit 11) from I-10 East will close.

South Desert Boulevard will close between Thorn Avenue and North Mesa Street (SH 20).

The right through lane on North Mesa Street (SH 20, eastbound) – heading toward Remcon Circle – will close between Osborne Drive and the I-10 West Exit Ramp.

Detour:I-10 Eastbound trafficmay exit at Redd Road (Exit 9) and take Doniphan Drive to North Mesa Street (SH 20).

Crews will be boring near the roadway and building the new I-10 East Overpass. [Map 1]

 

I-10 & Sunland

Five Days

Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

The right shoulder will close on the Sunland Park Flyover Ramp to I-10 East. The flyover ramp will be open to traffic.

Crews will be installing conduit for illumination.[Map 2]

 

Two Days

Tuesday, August 15and Wednesday, August 16

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

The left turn lane onto Sunland Park Drive from the westbound Sunland Park Exit Ramp will close. Traffic will still be able to turn left. Follow signage.

Crews will be working on the foundation for a temporary traffic signal. [Map 2]

The Sunland ParkExit Ramp from I-10 West will be reduced to one lane up to Sunland Park Drive.

Sunday, August 13through Thursday, August 17

9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning

I-10 in both directionswill close completely at the Sunland Park Exit Ramps (Exits 13).

The Sunland Park Drive Overpass at I-10 will close completely between the eastbound and westbound ramps.

Detours: Traffic on I-10 West will exit at Sunland Park (Exit 13) and re-enter I-10 West at the next ramp.Traffic on I-10 East will exit at Sunland Park (Exit 13) and re-enter I-10 East at the next ramp. Traffic on Sunland Park Drive will be detoured around the I-10 intersection via North Mesa Street or Doniphan Drive. Follow the detour signs in place.

Crews will be working on the Sunland Park Overpass. [Map 3]

9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning

I-10 in both directionswill close completely at the Sunland Park Exit Ramps (Exits 13).

The Sunland Park Drive Overpass at I-10 will close completely between the eastbound and westbound ramps.

The Sunland Park DriveEntrance Ramp to I-10 Westwill close.

Detours:Traffic onI-10 Westwill exit at Sunland Park(Exit 13) and go to North Mesa (SH 20); then, take North Mesa to the I-10 interchange where traffic may re-enter I-10 West. Traffic on I-10 East will exit at Sunland Park (Exit 13) and re-enter I-10 East at the next ramp. Traffic on Sunland Park Drive will be detoured around the I-10 intersection via North Mesa Street or Doniphan Drive. Follow the detour signs in place.

Crews will be working on the Sunland Park Overpass and re-striping. [Map 4]

9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning

I-10 in both directionswill be reduced to one lane between Sunland Park and Executive Center.

3a.m. to 4 p.m.

Two right lanes on North Mesa Street (SH 20, eastbound) will close between Osborne Drive and the North Mesa Entrance Ramp to I-10 East.

All Day, 26 hours

3 a.m. Sunday, August 20to 6 a.m. Monday, August 21

The Sunland Park ExitRampfrom I-10 East will close.

The Sunland Park Entrance Ramp to I-10 East will close.

Alternate routes: Drivers on I-10 East who want to avoid the I-10/Sunland interchangeshould use North Mesa Street (SH 20)or TransmountainRoad (Loop 375).

Detour: Drivers on I-10 East who wish to access retailers on Sunland Park Drive will be detoured further up I-10 to the Executive Center Exit (Exit 16). Traffic may take Executive Center Blvd to North Mesa Street (SH 20), then take North Mesa Street to Sunland Park Drive.

Major operation: On Aug. 20, crews will place 21 of 36 massive concrete beams onto columns for the new Sunland Park Flyover Ramp. This closure will repeat, but only at night, for the next three nights. (Read next closure.)[Map 5]

Monday, August 21 through Wednesday, August 23

9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning

The Sunland Park ExitRampfrom I-10 East will close.

The Sunland Park Entrance Ramp to I-10 East will close.

Crews will be placing massive concrete beams onto columns for the new Sunland Park Flyover Ramp.

Detour: Drivers on I-10 East who wish to access Sunland Park Drive will be detoured further up I-10 to the Executive Center Exit (Exit 16). Traffic may take Executive Center Blvd to North Mesa Street (SH 20), then take North Mesa Street to Sunland Park Drive.[Map 5]

I-10 in both directions will close completely at the Sunland Park Exit Ramps (Exits 13).

The Sunland Park Drive Entrance Ramp to I-10 West will close.
