I-40 East Reopens In New Mexico
Eastbound Interstate 40 is open again in eastern New Mexico after being closed because of the winter storm that passed through the state on Monday.
State officials say New Mexico highways are mainly clear and passable.
Eastbound I-40 was closed between the east side of Albuquerque and the Texas line. It was passable in New Mexico by Tuesday morning.
However, the closure was kept in effect until Texas authorities could allow traffic to reach at least Amarillo.
