Immigrants On School Bus Had Prior Arrests

By KRWG News

Deming – Federal officials say that three undocumented immigrants who were arrested after they boarded a New Mexico public school bus had prior arrests for entering the U.S. illegally.

U.S. Border Patrol-El Paso Sector spokesman Doug Mosier told the Deming Headlight (http://bit.ly/oIb7Vd) that the three Mexican nationals had been arrested previously for illegal immigration and fraudulent use of documents.

He said the three suspects, not four as originally reported, had already crossed into the U.S. illegally, then boarded a Deming Public Schools bus to enter the city Monday morning.

The Deming Police Department originally responded to the school district call for assistance when the bus driver reported there were adults on the bus. Deming police then called the Border Patrol to handle the arrests.
