Las Cruces, NM – Immigration has been a contentious issue this election season especially in western states like Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico which have a high percentage of Hispanics. Presumptive presidential nominees Barak Obama and John McCain, both say they support comprehensive immigration reform that includes border security and a path towards citizenship. Much of the debate however, has focused on whether immigrants take more than they contribute; and as KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, some experts say the benefits seem to outweigh the cost especially at the federal level.
