The Las Cruces Police Department will park its Mobile Operations Command center at Hotel Encanto Friday and officers will have an increased presence along the Lohman-Telshor business district throughout the weekend.
The MOC will be parked in front of Hotel Encanto at 705 Telshor Boulevard. The MOC will be there from 8 a.m. Friday, April 22, through 7 p.m. Sunday, April 24. The MOC will be manned 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.each day.
On Saturday at the MOC, LCPD will host an Ident-A-Child for children. Parents and caregivers can bring their children to the MOC and receive a free identification card.
Joining the Las Cruces Police Department at the MOC will be representatives from the Las Cruces Fire Department and Las Cruces Codes Enforcement.
Las Cruces residents are encouraged to stop by the MOC, visit with officers and discuss any law enforcement concerns they may have. No appointment is necessary to visit with a police officer while the MOC is stationed at Hotel Encanto.
