According to the most recent census data the poverty rate in Dona Ana County is around twenty-five percent. In some specific communities the rate is much higher for example, The poverty level in Sunland Park is 48%. A new local organization is working to make a dent in that number by bringing services and assistance to the area. The Organization is called Spirit Mission and the CEO Rafael Ramos and Director of Technology Gerardo Hernandez are in the studio.
