A federal appeals court has rejected an appeal filed on behalf of a woman who pleaded guilty in a criminal case centered on a border gun smuggling ring.
The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday dismissed the appeal filed for Eva Gutierrez.
She was sentenced in February to 21 months in prison for conspiracy and making false statements on gun-purchase documents.
