Four-time Grammy Award winner and former American Idol judge Keith Urban will bring his “ripCORD World Tour 2016” to the NMSU Pan American Center in Las Cruces on Tuesday, October 18. Tickets go on sale at 10:00 am on Friday, August 19 through Ticketmaster (online and 800-745-3000) and the Pan American Center Ticket Office.
“I’m seriously chomping at the bit to bring this tour to Las Cruces,” said Urban. “Since June, we’ve been out there playing a lot of new music from ripCORD with all-new production. It’s gonna be potent and unbridled!”
A unique twist to the Las Cruces show will be the artist that opens for Urban. The opening act will be determined via contest, where area musicians and singers can enter by submitting live videos of their performances. The grand prize winner (selected by a panel of judges affiliated with the Las Cruces concert) will perform a 20-minute opening set at Urban’s concert on October 18. Urban’s ‘ripCORD World Tour 2016’ began following the May release of his eighth studio album, RIPCORD, which has already produced three No. 1 singles – the Grammy nominated “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”, “Break On Me”, and “Wasted Time”, which stayed atop the charts for two weeks and became Urban’s 21st No. 1 record. Urban’s latest single from RIPCORD, “Blue Ain’t Your Color”, has just been released to country radio.
