La Cella Bella performers Allison Reynolds and Alicia Dolan will perform in concert at the Doña Ana Community College (DACC) East Mesa Auditorium on Friday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m.
La Cella Bella perform on cellos which are part of the violin family and are the second largest bowed string instrument in modern symphony orchestra.
In concerts, the group often plays music not usually composed for cello, a traditional chamber music instrument. They perform arrangements of popular and familiar music from different genres. Their repertoire extends from classical music to folk songs, jazz ballads, alternative rock and metal hits. Their concert playlists include music familiar to some and music that will be new and exciting for the audience.
The DACC Cultural Diversity Committee of the Faculty Council is hosting the concert. A pre-concert reception with light refreshments will be held on the Plaza adjacent to the East Mesa Auditorium beginning at 5:30 p.m.
There is no cost for the concert or the reception.
