The man who was stabbed and killed early Saturday morning during a party east of Las Cruces has been identified as 20-year-old Carlos Contreras.
Doña Ana County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 7500 block of El Centro in the East Mesa area of Las Cruces just after 2 a.m. Saturday. Deputies immediately rendered aid to Contreras, who was then airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso.
Contreras died during surgery.
