Las Cruces Area Police Search For Couple Suspected Of Using Stolen Credit Card

Jun 13, 2014

A couple who are suspected of trying to use a stolen credit card at a gas pump remains unidentified, but Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators are hoping someone might be able to identify the pair from an image caught on surveillance video.

A man and a woman, traveling in the same car, parked near a gas pump at the Pic Quik on Don Roser and University Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. on June 8. The vehicle is described as a white Hyundai Veloster with black trim around the rear window. Surveillance video also indicates the car has Texas plates.

The couple attempted to use a credit card that had been previously reported as stolen from a vehicle that was parked on Cholla Road, approximately two miles from the convenience store.

Anyone with information on the man or woman seen in the surveillance video is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, (575) 525-8884 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637) using the keyword LCTIPS.
