Las Cruces Bank Robbery

Las Cruces – The Las Cruces Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in the drive-through lane of a downtown bank on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, Las Cruces Police were called to the Bank of the Rio Grande at 421 N. Water St. after a man was reported to have stolen a deposit bag from a customer who was conducting business in the drive-through lane.

The suspect was said to be a Hispanic man possibly in his early 20's, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall, with facial stubble and possibly a goatee. He was wearing tan or khaki pants, a dark-colored T-shirt and a black baseball cap.

The man was last seen leaving the area on foot heading west through a residential area.
