Las Cruces Boxer Makes Pro Debut

Adam Vasquez, age  23, of Las Cruces NM will be making his professional debut Saturday July 27 in Hobbs, NM. 

 

Vasquez was part of the Las Cruces Police Athletic League (PAL) Boxing Club for over 11 years and has accumulated over 100 amateur boxing bouts. Vasquez comes from a family of Las Cruces boxers including his sister Ayanna Vasquez, who a USA Silver Medalist and currently ranked second in the nation at the 119lb. Division Adam Vasquez will face Michael Anthony Herrera of Roswell NM.

 

Also on the boxing card is Jose "Shorty" Salinas of Las Cruces, NM who is also a product of the Las Cruces PAL Boxing Club. Salinas as a professional has 2 victories with zero defeats and is already considered a top prospect for New Mexico. He  will face Victor Silva in the 135 lb division.  The bouts will take place at Club La Sierra, 3000 W. Marland St., Hobbs NM starting at 7 p.m.
