Las Cruces Call Center To Add 100 Jobs

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Convergys Corporation is hiring 100 full-time employees at its contact center on Del Rey Boulevard in Las Cruces. The company also announced it is closing its Albuquerque call center, resulting in more than 600 layoffs.

New employees will provide customer service support to a client in the telecommunications industry.

"These positions are ideally suited to anyone with strong computer and problem solving skills," said Martin Grygar, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Las Cruces. "They also provide an opportunity for area residents who would like to gain experience in the customer service industry, which is expected to see major growth in the next decade."

Convergys offers employees five weeks of comprehensive training, competitive wages with pay for performance incentives, and benefits including medical and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and paid and unpaid time off.

Potential Convergys employees should possess a basic understanding of computers; solid customer service experience; strong computer keyboarding skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. Employment with Convergys is contingent on the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
