The Las Cruces City Council is holding an emergency meeting this morning at 8 a.m. on an ordinance adopting a Municipal Hold Harmless Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) of three-eighths of one-percent; and declaring an emergency.
The emergency meeting is being televised live on CLC-TV, Comcast cable channel 20 and streamed live online at CLCTV.COM.
Today's meeting comes after the state of New Mexico found what it deemed to be technical errors in the original ordinance adopting a GRT increase.
