Las Cruces Man Claims Million Dollar Powerball Win

New Mexico lottery officials say a Las Cruces man has come forward to claim a $1 million prize in the latest multi-state Powerball game.

They say 31-year-old Justin Laugherty just missed out on the jackpot.

The big prize ticket was sold in Michigan and is worth $337 million.

Wednesday's winning numbers were 6, 27, 46, 51 and 56 and a red Powerball of 21.

Laugherty missed the Powerball or he would have had a share of the jackpot.

At a news conference Thursday at state lottery headquarters in Albuquerque, Laughtery says he's been telling people since he was 8 years old that he was going to win the lottery.

The bachelor says he plans to use his winnings to pay off his home loan and spoil his family and friends.
