Las Cruces man conned into fake lottery ticket

Las Cruces, NM – Last week an eighty year-old Las Cruces man was conned into giving two men twenty-five thousand dollars. The two suspects approached the man at a Wal-Mart and explained they had a winning lottery ticket worth over five hundred thousand dollars; but couldn't cash it in, because they weren't U.S. citizens. Las Cruces Police Spokesman Dan Trujillo says the suspects convinced the man to withdraw the money from his bank account.
