A Las Cruces man is leading the charge to ensure that the people who live in colonias do not go hungry. (Part 5)
By Bob Mitchell
Las Cruces, NM – Dona Ana County has 38 colonias - more colonias than any other county in New Mexico. Besides not having water or wastewater systems, paved and lighted roadways, adequate housing, adequate transportation and parks, many of the residents also don't have enough to eat. In this final segment of a series about hunger in Dona Ana County, Bob Mitchell reports on a man who frequently volunteers his time to take food to the residents of colonias.
