The Las Cruces Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched about 3:00 a.m. to a mobile home on the 100 block of Shoshone Drive. The first arriving unit found a double-wide mobile home with fire coming from the rear of the structure.
The fire appears to have started in a shed near the home. The fire then spread to the void space between the roof and ceiling of the mobile home. The structure was confirmed to be vacant at the time of the fire.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the property loss is estimated to be between $60,000 and $70,000.
