Las Cruces Offers Reward In Burglary

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000, and the victim of a Baylor Canyon burglary is contributing $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest of the person or persons who committed the crime.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office is investigating the residential burglary that took place sometime around July 28, 2011, at a home on the 4000 block of Roundup Road in the foothills of the Organ Mountains east of Las Cruces.

Numerous personal documents, jewelry and firearms were taken during the burglary. Some of the valuables taken included savings bonds worth more than $40,000, a valuable stamp collection, 50 ounces of silver, platinum maple leafs, several men's and women's watches, and three handguns.
