Las Cruces Pawn Shop Burglary

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police caught and arrested two men shortly after they broke into a local pawnshop.

Jesse Cutbirth, 30, and Justin Ruebush, 20, are each charged with non-residential burglary, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to the Trader Man Pawn, at 122 Avenida de Mesilla, after neighbors heard suspicious noises coming from the store. Officers arrived and located Cutbirth inside the fenced yard of the business.

Ruebush was located a short while later attempting to hide inside a Chevrolet van that was also in the fenced area. Both men were taken into custody without further incident.

Cutbirth and Ruebush are both being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center with bonds set at $15,000 each.
