Las Cruces Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing

Las Cruces Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Thursday evening near a restaurant that’s under construction just off south Valley Drive.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to what was described as the stabbing of two men behind the K-Bob’s restaurant at 1660 S. Valley Dr.

Officers found a 55-year-old man on the ground, just behind the building, with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man was found at the nearby Walmart store where he had walked to report the stabbing. He had what appeared to be one stab wound to his lower back, and was alert and able to speak with officers. He was transported to University Medical Center of El Paso with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed as Las Cruces Police continue their investigation.
