Las Cruces Police Investigate Two Stabbings

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating two separate Sunday incidents that resulted in three men hospitalized with stab wounds.

The first incident was reported shortly after 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, and occurred on the 2100 block of south Solano Drive. Police were called when several party-goers began arguing. The argument led to an affray and at least four gunshots were believed to have been fired prior to the arrival of officers. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the gunfire.

One man did receive multiple, relatively minor, cuts from a knife and was transported to Memorial Medical Center. The victim's wounds were not life-threatening.

The second incident was called into police at around 8:30 p.m. and sent officers to the 800 block of Maple Street where they found two men with stab wounds. Their injuries were also not life-threatening but serious enough to warrant transportation to University Medical Center of El Paso.

No arrests have been made in either case. Las Cruces Police detectives are continuing to investigate the two incidents.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
