The Las Cruces Police Department’s Mobile Operations Command center will deploy to south Solano Drive next week for four days of community interaction.
The Mobile Operation Command will be stationed in the parking lot of the Families and Youth, Inc., agency at 1320 S. Solano Dr. The MOC will be parked in the northeast corner of the parking lot, near the corner of Solano Drive and Idaho Avenue.
The MOC will be manned 24 hours a day beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, until 6 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Las Cruces residents who reside in the neighborhoods surrounding south Solano Drive are encouraged to stop by and visit with officers, and discuss any law enforcement concerns they may have. No appointment is necessary to visit with a police officer at the MOC.
The Las Cruces Police Department’s Community Liaison Officer will offer two crime prevention presentations at the MOC – at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 and 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. The presentations are free of charge and open to anyone interested in attending.
LCPD will also host a community meeting at the MOC at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20. Residents of surrounding neighborhoods are encouraged to attend the meeting and share their ideas for a safer community. Officers and LCPD supervisors will be available at the meeting to answer questions and listen to concerns related to law enforcement within the community.
