Las Cruces Police issued 24 citations in two hours Wednesday morning during a special traffic operation held along Sonoma Ranch Boulevard.
Of the 24 citations written during the operation, 14 were issued to drivers who failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection of Calle Jitas and Sonoma Ranch Boulevard. Another seven citations were issued to motorists who were unable to provide proof of insurance or registration.
The remaining citations were issued for other traffic infractions.
Tuesday morning’s traffic operation was held from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Calle Jitas and Sonoma Ranch Boulevard. The Las Cruces Police Department plans additional traffic enforcement operations in the near future.
