Las Cruces Police are asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police responded to the 800 block of Utah and learned that an elderly male had been battered during robbery attempt at his residence however the male was able to flee and call for help.
Police are looking for a Hispanic male suspect in his late teens or early twenties who was wearing a red jacket or sweater when he fled on foot. The suspect was further described as being 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 in height and weighing 150 to 180 pounds.
