Las Cruces Police are investigating a Wednesday morning stabbing that sent a man to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to the area of Lohman Avenue and Walton Boulevard where the incident is believed to have occurred.
The victim, a man in his early 20’s, was stabbed at least twice and transported to Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He is scheduled to be airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso.
Preliminary information appears to indicate that the victim and another man were in the parking lot of a nearby business when they got into a fight and the victim was stabbed.
Police are looking for the suspect who is believed to have fled the area in a vehicle.
